Cookie Policy
Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE] · Last updated June 2026
Draft for review — not legal advice. This document is a working draft prepared from regulatory and industry guidance. It must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before it is published or relied upon.
This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can control them. It supplements our [Privacy Policy](/privacy).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. “Similar technologies” include local storage and pixels. We use a deliberately small set, and our analytics are cookieless by design.
2. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Core site functionality and security; remembers your cookie choice. | Always on (no consent needed) |
| Functional | Remembers preferences such as theme (light/dark) and text size, via local storage. | On by default; you control it locally |
| Analytics | Privacy-first, cookieless, aggregated usage measurement (Plausible). | Loaded only after you accept |
| Marketing / advertising | We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. | Not used |
3. Our analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and does not collect personal information or track you across sites. The analytics script loads only after you accept in the cookie banner, and never before.
4. Managing your choices
- Use the cookie banner when you first visit, or reopen it anytime via “Cookie preferences” in the site footer.
- Adjust functional preferences (theme, text size) directly in the site UI.
- Control or clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
5. Changes & contact
We may update this policy as our practices evolve; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version. Questions: privacy@ngnsimulation.com.
